Claude was the artist for his high school yearbook in 1947
Claude, who was known as "C. A." then, graduated from Okaloosa High School in west Ouachita parish, near West Monroe, LA.  He was also the class Valedictorian
Claude began his drafting career in the Army while stationed in Tokyo, 1948-50
