Claude A. Luttrell, Jr.
Funeral services for Claude A. Luttrell, Jr., 80, of West Monroe will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at McClendon Baptist Church in West Monroe. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at Andrews Cemetery in Karnack, Texas. Rev. Rick Crandall, Rev. James Gardner and Rev. Don Hallum will be officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe.
Mr. Luttrell was born July 18, 1930 in Goose Creek (Baytown), Texas, and passed away February 16, 2011 after a lengthy illness in West Monroe, LA. He was a U. S. Army veteran.
Mr. Luttrell was a retired architect. During his career of fifty years he worked for H. H. Land and Architecture Plus of Monroe, Dale & Associates of Jackson, MS, Jenkins, Lazenby & Luttrell and Claude A. Luttrell, Architect of West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Luttrell had a heart for Christian evangelism serving for many years as a Sunday School teacher and deacon. He was a member of McClendon Baptist Church, West Monroe and had formerly been an active member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church, Jackson, MS and First Baptist Church of West Monroe.
Mr. Luttrell was preceded in death by his parents, Laura Estelle Hammett and Claude A. Luttrell, Sr.; wife, Llewellen Adams George Luttrell; stepson, Kenneth George; sister, Laura Tolbird Murphy and brother, Grady Luttrell of Shreveport;.
Mr. Luttrell is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Linda Luttrell; grandson, Eric Luttrell of Oregon; stepdaughter, Janice George and her daughter, Brittany Hard of Florida; sister, Mary Cloyd Yeager and, numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 18 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
